Trusting in Abba Father: He is your Father.

Abba Father ~ He is your Father.

Our first lesson on our new Name of God  will be to learn  the KEY VERSE for this name.
The verse is Romans 8:15.
I have written it in many different versions. Study them, and let me know which one you like best. Most of them are very similar.

Romans 8:15
New International Version (NIV)
The Spirit
you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba Father.”

Romans 8:15
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
For you
have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”

Romans 8:15
King James Version (KJV)
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Romans 8:15
The Voice (VOICE)
You see, you have not received a spirit that returns you to slavery, so you have nothing to fear. The Spirit you have received adopts you and welcomes you into God’s own family. That’s why we call out to Him, “Abba! Father!” as we would address a loving daddy.

Romans 8:15
English Standard Version (ESV)
For
you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”

Romans 8:15
New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received a spirit of adoption. When we cry, “Abba!
Father!”

Romans 8:15
New King James Version (NKJV)
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

Romans 8:15
Common English Bible (CEB)
You didn’t receive a spirit of slavery to lead you back again into fear, but you received a Spirit that shows you are adopted as his children. With this Spirit, we cry, “Abba, Father.”

Romans 8:15
New Life Version (NLV)
You should not act like people who are owned by someone. They are always afraid. Instead, the Holy Spirit makes us His sons, and we can call to Him, “My Father.”

Romans 8:15
Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to bring you back again into fear; on the contrary, you received the Spirit, who makes us sons and by whose power we cry out, “Abba!” (that is, “Dear Father!”).

The book we are studying from is TRUSTING IN THE NAMES OF GOD by Catherine Martine. If can be gotten on her wedsite, http://www.quiettime.org/ if you have not already purchased it, I encourage you to do so now. I have practically worn my copy out. I LOVE it!!!!
