An emotional day for me. Today is Kristi's first day this year in Liberia. Don't know how I got so very blessed but I have the best 7 children God has given to any woman. And though it is hard to let go, it is also so rewarding knowing each of them is following God's direction in their life. And boy is it hard letting your little girl go year after year to Liberia to serve Him. But it is also such a blessing knowing she is doing her Father's work.
Here are the lyrics to the song from Tim McGraw, and though it is a father talking to his daughter, this song means so much to me, especially these words:
"You beautiful baby from the outside in
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again
Go on take on this old world but to me you know you will always be
My little girl"

My Little Girl Lyrics
By Tim McGraw
Gotta hold on easy as I let you go
Gonna tell you how much I love you though you think you already know
I remember I thought you looked like an angel wrapped in pink so soft and warm
You’ve had me wrapped around your finger since the day you were born

You beautiful baby from the outside in
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again
Go on take on this old world but to me you know you will always be
My little girl

When you were in trouble that crooked little smile would melt my heart of stone
Now look at you I’ve turned around and you’ve almost grown
Sometimes your asleep I whisper I love you in the moonlight at your door
As I walk away I hear you say “daddy love you more”

You beautiful baby from the outside in
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again
Go on take on this old world but to me you know you will always be
My little girl

Someday some boy will come and ask me for your hand
But I won’t say yes to him unless I know
He’s the half that makes you whole
He has a poets soul
And the heart of a mans man
I know he’ll say that he’s in love, but between you and me
He won’t be good enough

You beautiful baby from the outside in
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again
Go on take on this old world but to me you know you will always be
My little girl

Marylou, thanks for the invitation! Lovely blog(s)! It is so sweet to see all your grandchildren beginning to add up -- aren't they wonderful? Our number 23 is due in July and 24 in December. Oldest granddaughter Kitty is 20, so it probably won't be long before great-grandchildren start appearing on the scene! Oh, BTW, that "screencleaner" is so adorable!!

Love,
Bonnie, whose son and
his family have taken up residence in Ozark Co. Missouri, and whose daughter and hers plan to be there soon!!!
