I have been sending my family members devotionals.
The theme is the Anderson symbol, the Mighty Oak Tree, and the Clan motto, Stand Sure. My sister suggested I share this morning's on the internet, so I will in the comments below:
When I was in my second year of 4-H, the Herrera family wanted to join our Happy Jack 4-H Club. One parent said "absolutely no , this family was not to join our club". My dad said "yes they are joining" and they did. Those who agreed with the other parent, formed the Crow Creek Crew 4-H club. My dad stood firm. I was proud of him. The family only... stayed in the club for one year. But my dad was no respecter of men.
He would go to town, hire a bum to work on the ranch, and that bum would sit at our table and take his meals just as if he were a member of our family. And my father was equally comfortable with Governor Hanson, and even entertained President Bush on our ranch. He was literally all things to all men. Never ashamed to share his faith in Jesus Christ along the way. It seemed to just come naturally to him. His faith was strong, and when he was president of the school board, he stood on these same principles. He was flexible and free like the branches of a Mighty Oak tree, yet he Stood Sure in his faith in Jesus Christ, and was a protector of the underprivileged, and a friend of men from every walk in life. My dad was my hero.
Read the following from
1 Corinthians: 19, 22 -23
"though I am free and belong to no man,I make myself a slave to everyone to win as many as possible ... I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the Gospel, that I might share its blessings."

Preparing the house for the King of Kings:

Stage 1 Our Bedroom
Ya know, if it is mine, then I make the excuse, "Who cares, I am the only one here 24/7 and so what difference does it make if it is a mess" I really honestly only care if the house looks good if I am having company. That is so BAD!!!! When did I get to that point of forgetting that I do not live here ALONE. My precious God is here with me. I somewhere along the road I forgot to remember He is here with me. And if He is here, I better get this bedroom ready not just for me, but FOR ROYALTY.
Today I am going to finish that which I started, so when Terry gets home he can finish what he started (Framing the doorways and windows and trimming the ceiling). We need to get this joint ready to receive the King of Kings!!!! He is already here, but we need to get it looking like He is already here!!!
Okay so far today:
I pulled my storage suit case out from beside the bed where my dear husband has been stumbling to get over it and into bed every time he is home. Since I put it there, I guess he figures that is where I want it... poor man! I went through it and got the clothes I actually wear out of it, and then started to discard the junk. at the bottom of the bag was a piece of ancient crochet work, a nice piece of lace, probably was going to make a collar for someone's dress...
It had come from a box of JUNK I had purchased at an antique store several (at least 5) years ago. It was some beautiful workmanship. However it was tattered and torn, and it had not real connection to me, my mom had not made it, nor had my great grandmother or her mother or her daughter. It literally had zero connection to me. Other than the lesson I learned this morning from that tattered piece of lace. At one time it was very beautiful, but it was never finished. It had lain around for some hundred years, and had slowly deteriorated. Though I could still see the workmanship, it really had no purpose. Those who might have even had a connection with its creator, had discarded it, because they saw no value in it. Perhaps they held the creator of the piece in high esteem, but saw no reason to save her handy work. so, why did I? My whole life I have been holding onto many little unfinished pieces of antique lace of one sort or another, and IT HAS TO STOP NOW!!! One piece of antique unfinished lace at a time.
So I tossed the lace in the garbage sack and then threw my beloved red plaid PJ bottoms in there too (they have been waiting for over 5 years for me to repair them, and this morning I realized they are irreparable. And one piece at a time I WILL get this place ready to host the king!
Prayers and words of encouragement are welcome!!!!

This is the first picture we have all been together long enough to be able to get a picture of the entire Anderson Clan! We make quite a big Clan!!! We were all together at Mark's church Valentines Party. It was a great weekend for Terry and me. Matthew and his family are behind Terry and me. Mattthew is holding Nehemiah, Chandra is standing next to Matthew, Noah is in front of Chandra, and Isaiah is between me and Noah. Joshua is next to Terry in the purple shirt. He is holding Luke's daughter, Addie. Luke's wife, Mandy is standing next to Chandra and Luke. Their son, Asher is in front of Mandy, and their son, Levi is between Micah, who is kneeling next to Joshua and his wife, Nicole. Their daughter, Micaiah is on Micah's lap, and their son, Nicolae is on Nicole's lap. Kristi is standing next to Luke. Mark, standing on the other side of Kristi is holding his daughter, Caithness, and his wife, Jordan is standing in front of him holding their son, Caedmon. John is standing next to Mark, holding their son, Jude. His wife, Molly is standing next to him, with their son Isaac in front of her, and their daughter, Grace is standing in front of John. I thought that sorta confusing description fit our family LOL

I just have to laugh, it beats crying! It is so interesting how two people can see the very same show on TV and get a totally opposite reaction! I watched the Glenn Beck/ Sarah Palin interview yesterday on FOX NEWS. I was so impressed. The very opening statement brought me to tears literally! I thought Sarah answered the questions honestly, and intelligently. I felt happy listening to this exchange between the two, and was almost 100% positive in my total response. Then I got on a "News Website" and found another person's reaction it was totally the opposite. When reading his comments however I found that he was a former speech writer for non other than Jimmy Carter. So of course his perspective would be 380 degrees opposite from mine. In a way it is rather frightening that the two prevailing opinions in on almost any topic in our nation right now are so totally opposite. It seems there is no real middle ground. There surely is not for me. I watched Sec of State Clinton talking about how wonderful it was that we are on the edge of accepting and ushering in global abortion funding in her speech she was actually celebrating the idea that our world might soon be killing babies throughout the world with funds from America. How sad this is to me. She is however as adamant in her convictions as I am in mine. And that is frightening to me!
